Learning to breathe more easily

It’s nearly that time of year again, when noses big and small start twitching and itching as pollen and other allergens take to the air. And for many children, increased sensitivity and reaction to those allergens mean hayfever or worse - asthma.

Asthma causes the small airways that carry air in and out of the lungs to swell, or narrow. It also triggers the production of mucus, making you cough and wheeze.

Sufferers have a tight feeling in their chests, and are often short of breath. Research has shown that children are more likely to develop asthma if someone else in their family has it too.
They will often have eczema and allergies as well. An adverse reaction to airborne allergens including pollen and animal hair is one of the most common triggers of an attack. Indeed, there is a link between childhood asthma and being born at a time of year when the pollen count is high. Other factors include being brought up in a house where there is a pet, or a smoker.

FACT: The UK has one of the highest rates of childhood asthma in the world.

Nasaleze with mint is a natural treatment that helps reduce allergic reactions to airborne allergens. It works by coating the inside of the nose with inert cellulose to trap allergens and stop symptoms including a runny nose and itchy, streaming eyes. It can be safely used by children and has no known side effects.
